Matija Laco is a Country Economist working on EU11 countries based in the World Bank Brussels Office. His work focuses on macroeconomic and fiscal policies and macro-financial linkages. Presently, he works primarily on issues related to ongoing economic, legal and institutional reforms and initiatives within the EU. He is one of the authors of the EU11 Regular Economic Reprts, focusing mostly on finance, trade and monetary policy. Prior to his present assignment in Poverty Reduction and Macroeconomic Management Sector in Europe and Central Asia region, he worked in the Croatian Central Bank. He holds an MA in Finance and MSc in Economics and Development.
