Matteo Vidiri is an Economist in the Development Impact Measurement Department (CDI) at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he focuses on impact measurement and analytics for disruptive technology startups and venture capital funds. Matteo joined IFC as a Junior Professional Officer in 2024 and has since contributed to a broad range of analytical and operational activities to strengthen the development impact of IFC investments in disruptive technologies and venture capital funds.
He brings to IFC a diverse background spanning international development organizations, the private sector, and public institutions. Prior to IFC, he held progressive roles at IDinsight in Morocco where he led the design and implementation of a large-scale Randomized Controlled Trial evaluating remedial education programs across 200 schools, and built monitoring and evaluation systems, including data pipelines and dashboards, tracking education outcomes for over 600,000 preschool students. Earlier in his career, he worked on impact assessment methodologies and public–private partnership advisory engagements with international donors, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders across Europe and Asia.
Matteo holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from the University of Bologna and a Master of Science in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics. He has also completed the Impact Measurement Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
