Maya Gabriela Q. Villaluz is a Senior Environment Operations Officer for the World Bank who has worked extensively on global and national programs on the environment and natural resource management such as Wealth Accounting and Valuation of Ecosystems Services project, Social Inclusion of the Informal Waste Sector project and Carbon Finance Methane Recovery project to name a few. Her expertise covers air, water, solid and toxic wastes management, as well as on energy, transport and green buildings
She has degree in MS Environmental Science and Technology (1994) from the International Institute of Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering, Netherlands and is a PhD in Environmental Science, major in Industrial Ecology from the University of the Philippines and the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. She also writes children’s books about the environment.
