Mayowa joined the World Bank in 2014 as a consultant in the Health, Nutrition and Population (HNP) Global Practice. She is part of the team providing technical and implementation support on an innovative financing mechanism project-Nigeria State Health Investment Project, a health system strengthening project which aims to improve access and quality of maternal and child health services. Under this project, she provides technical assistance for the implementation of the project in three states in the country. She is also a part of the team that provides technical assistance on Polio Eradication Support project and provides overall support and leadership on the proposed Regional Disease Surveillance System Enhancement Project.
