Mélise Jaud is an economist in the Chief Economist Office of the World Bank’s Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to joining the World Bank she has worked as an economic advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture in Mozambique. Her research covers international trade in particular the determinants and impacts of firms' export dynamics and growth, food safety issues in trade, and policy reforms in developing and transition countries. She received her PhD from the Paris School of Economics in 2010.
