Michael Norton is an Extended Term Consultant in the South Asia Chief Economist's Office, where conducts data-driven research on environmental issues in the developing economies of the region. He has a Ph.D. in Geography from University of California, Davis and a Master's degree in Applied Economics from Cornell University. Prior to joining the bank, Michael worked in roles at organizations such as Columbia University's Earth Institute, the Chesapeake Conservancy, and the Peace Corps.
