Michael has over 10 years of experience in advising both public agencies and private industry on infrastructure development and public and project financing. He joined the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF) in 2017 and is working in energy, transport, and water projects in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Middle East and North Africa. Before joining the GIF, he was most recently with KPMG US Infrastructure, where he structured PPP transactions for U.S. transportation, ports and logistics, telecommunications, and energy projects. His recent transactions include SH288, a $1 billion toll-road in Texas, and an acquisition of energy storage by a large European utility. He has also worked on several World Bank projects, including the development of a loan guarantee facility for energy efficiency in the Philippines and contributing to the IFC's report on energy access, From Gap to Opportunity: Business Models for Scaling Up Energy Access, in 2012.
