Michelle Neuman is a lecturer in educational practice at the University of Pennsylvania and a senior fellow at Results for Development. Through the global, multi-sectoral Early Childhood Workforce Initiative, she focuses on strategies to support the development of a quality early childhood workforce at scale. Dr. Neuman’s recent work also covers the politics of scaling early learning, financing of early childhood services, and quality assurance systems for pre-primary education in low- and middle-income countries. In her previous roles at the World Bank, Open Society Foundations, UNESCO Education for All Global Monitoring Report, and OECD, she led analytical work and provided technical guidance to government officials to inform the design and implementation of early childhood policies, programs, and systems. She holds an A.B. from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Politics and Education from Columbia University.
