Mick has been with the World Bank for more than 20 years where he has worked in analysis and forecasting of developments for global and developing regional economies; preparation of studies for emerging market countries on their interactions with the international environment; and leading production of daily newsletters and monthly reports. Riordan coordinates production of a 'Daily Commentary' on global economic and financial developments that is widely distributed within and outside of the Bank. He is a co-author of several flagship publications, including the Global Economic Prospects and Global Development Finance. Prior to joining the Bank, Riordan was Director of International Consulting for the WEFA Group of Philadelphia, (currently HIS-Global Insights), where he was involved in foreign exchange advisory work as well as in large-scale projects in contract consulting, largely in the area of world trade. Riordan holds an master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in international business from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
