Miguel Toquica is a Disaster Risk Management Specialist supporting the WACA program in tasks like the multi-hazard risk assessment, coastal sediment budget transportation, and data and information sharing systems. In the World Bank he has provided strategic assistance to client implementation disaster risk management and environment projects in West Africa, he provides technical expertise in data usage, information sharing systems, geo-spatial analysis, and monitoring techniques of natural hazards and climate risk to mainstream disaster risk information into decision making and policies. Miguel holds a Masters degree in Disaster Risk Management from the Scuola Universitaria Superiore Pavia in Italy, and an engineering diploma from the University of Texas PanAm.
