Miriam is a Senior Social Scientist with the Poverty Global Practice at the World Bank. Before joining the World Bank, Miriam worked on gender equality with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ). Currently, her work focuses on qualitative research and on gender equality in the Africa region. A German national, Miriam holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Latin American Studies from Freie Universitaet Berlin and a doctorate in Sociology from Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin.
