Mitch Abdon is a consultant in the Digital Development Global Practice at the World Bank, supporting the World Bank’s engagements on digitalization, including the implementation of the national ID system, digital transformation efforts in social protection delivery, and improving capacity in data science. She was a former Director at the Philippine Department of Finance, where she led the fiscal economics research and data analytics team. She has previously worked as chief data scientist at the United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) PintigLab, M&E specialist for a USAID project, and Economics Officer at the Asian Development Bank. Mitch holds a master’s in information and data science from the University of California, Berkeley and master’s in economics from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
