Modeste Somé is an Economist in the Development Economics Prospects Group of the World Bank. He is part of the Global Macroeconomic Team and is contributing to the World Bank’s semi-annual flagship publication Global Economic Prospects. Prior to the World Bank, he worked at the University of Johannesburg as a senior lecturer. His research focuses on monetary policy, macro-finance in dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models, and business cycles. Mr. Somé holds an M.A. in Applied Statistics from the Ecole Nationale de Statistiques et d’Economie Appliquée (ENSEA) in Ivory Coast and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Montreal.
