Mohamad Al-Arief is the Head of External Affairs for the World Bank’s Infrastructure Practice Group. Prior to that, he was the Advisor to the World Bank’s Managing Director for Development Policy and Partnerships. His Bank career spans two decades and covers various sectors and regions, including East Asia-Pacific and South Asia. He also oversaw the institution’s work on health, education, and social protection. He has been based in Jakarta, Tokyo, New Delhi, and Washington, D.C.
