Mohammad Sulaiman Akbari is a Senior Private Sector Specialist at the World Bank, with over 15 years of experience in private sector development in South Asia and East Africa. He currently leads the Bank's Private Sector and Financial Sector portfolio in Uganda. His expertise spans investment climate reform, SME and value chain development, special economic zones, agribusiness, and tourism, with operational experience in low-capacity and fragile and conflict-affected states. He is an Asia 21 Fellow of the Asia Society, recognized as one of its Young Leaders across the Asia Pacific region.
