Mrike Aliu works as Human Development Specialist (HD) at the World Bank, within Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice, based in the Kosovo office. She specializes in areas of human development, particularly in maternal and child health, quality improvement for healthcare, health financing, social service delivery design and management, and early childhood development. Mrike is currently leading the portfolios in health and supporting education and social protection in Kosovo. She also co-leads an enriched analytical work program related to human development areas in Kosovo.
Mrike holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. Prior to joining the Bank in 2019, she led a non-governmental organization working in maternal and child health and education, worked in academic affairs, and later in the public sector.
