Mwanawani Sheti is a public and private development finance expert and a part-time lecturer at Pwani University. She has more than seven years of experience in the banking sector, where she led branch growth and profitability targets and developed operational guidelines for micro-financing. Currently at the Municipal Manager-Kwale Municipality, she is principally responsible for building and maintaining a strong alliance and effective working relationships between the board and civil society, private sector and community-based organizations. She is key in implementing the Kenya Urban Support Programme (KUSP), a World Bank program on development projects in urban areas. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Kenyatta University and a bachelor of Education (Mathematics and Chemistry) with Information Technology from Maseno University.
