Nagy K. Hanna is author, educator, public speaker and independent consultant on e-transformation and innovation strategies. He has over 38 years experience advising countries and aid agencies on e-transformation policies and strategies, e-government, e-leadership institutions, knowledge services industry, public sector management and governance, and innovation-driven development strategies. He is a Senior Fellow and Board Member at the Center for Policy on Emerging Technologies; member of editorial boards of Springer’s and Palgrave’s journals and book series on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Knowledge Economy. Taught at University of Maryland, George Washington, and Duke. Published over 100 papers and book chapters, and authored or co-authored many books, including recent five books with Springer: e-Transformation: Enabling New Development Strategies (2009); Enabling Enterprise Transformation and Grassroots Innovation (2010); Transforming Government and Building the Information Society (2011); Seeking Transformation through Information Technology: Strategies for Brazil, China, Canada and Sri Lanka (2011); and National Strategies to Harness Information Technology: Singapore, Finland, the Philippines, and South Africa (2012). Over 30 years, he held many positions at the World Bank, including senior advisor on e-strategies, lead evaluator of development effectiveness, lead corporate strategist, lead economist, and operations officer.
