Nah-yoon is a Private Sector Specialist of the WBG’s Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice. She is the lead author of Circular Economy in Industrial Parks: Technologies for Competitiveness (2021), and Resilient Industries: Competitiveness in Face of Disasters (2020). She is also one of the main contributing authors to A Practitioner’s Handbook for Eco-Industrial Parks (2018), which is widely used by industrial park practitioners. Nah-yoon specializes in private sector development with climate focus, including industrial decarbonization, eco-industrial parks, climate resilient industrial development and circular economy. At the World Bank, she has worked with clients in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam to help improve industry competitiveness through green transition.
Nah-yoon holds a Master’s degree of Science in Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) with a focus on public policy and environmental planning. Before joining the Bank, she worked as a researcher at M.I.T. and at Korea Environment Institute where she assisted the Korean Ministry of Environment to implement the Seoul Initiative Network on Green Growth jointly with the UNESCAP.
