Najm-us-Saqib Shabbir is the Head of Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI). The core objectives of PRI include facilitating, supporting, faster, cheaper, convenient and efficient flow of remittances. Prior to remittances, Najm worked as the Director of the apex anti-corruption agency of Pakistan. His responsibilities included investigation of complex cases involving money laundering, mutual legal assistance and country representation at various regional and international forums on matters related to AML/CFT. Najm started his career with the Banking Supervision Cluster of central bank. He brings along unique combination of simultaneous expertise in remittances, AML/CFT regime and international cooperation on matters related thereto. He has a Masters in Business Administration with additional qualifications like ACAMS. He has been Conferred with national civil award ‘Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’ for public Service.
