Naomi Leefmans is a lecturer and researcher at the Amsterdam School of Economics of the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on many topics in development economics and international economics including international migration, trade liberalization, firm-level productivity and investment, development aid, demographic changes and economic growth, the human opportunity index, and growth and development in Sub-Saharan Africa. She worked as a Senior Policy Adviser on economic affairs at the Africa Department of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and as an international project leader and consultant at several organizations.
