Natalia Krynsky Baal is a Senior Strategy and Policy Officer with the Center. She has been working for the last ten years to strengthen available data and analysis in forced displacement situations. Previously, she worked with the Joint IDP Profiling Service (JIPS), where she was responsible for strategy, oversight, and fundraising. She has country-experience in Afghanistan, CAR, Colombia, Kosovo, Mali, Myanmar, and Somalia, and has developed specific expertise on urban displacement, durable solutions, and IDP data. Her work has focused on enhancing collaboration with local actors to strengthen sustainable response and to integrate displacement into development plans. She also led the development of International Recommendations on IDP Statistics. Natalia is a visiting fellow with the Feinstein International Center and has studied politics and theology at Edinburgh University and has an M.Sc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics.
