Nataliya de Francisco Serpa is International Economist supporting the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition and Population projects covering immunization programs, health systems strengthening, and health promotion in the LAC and AFRO regions. Over the past 15 years, Nataliya has focused on the design and implementation of human capital projects at the intersection of health, economics, agriculture, and sustainable development. She has worked in UNICEF and WHO in the regions of Europe and Central Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa creating strategic political and technical partnerships and research networks. 

Nataliya holds a Ph.D. in International Economic Relations, a M.Sc. in Economic Diplomacy from Moscow State University of International Relations and a post-doctoral training in Epidemiology and Health Economics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Nataliya speaks English, Russian, Spanish, French, and Italian.
