Nazia Moqueet is a Social Protection Specialist at the Partnership for Economic Inclusion, where she leads country engagements. She specializes in program design, capacity-building, and policy dialogue related to economic inclusion programs. In previous roles at the World Bank, her work focused on improving female labor force participation in Bangladesh through economic inclusion operations, policy guidance on childcare service delivery, and analytical work on gender-specific social norms. She supported the design of an economic inclusion pilot in Iraq and contributed to a global diagnostic that examines the impact of access to water and sanitation on human development outcomes including child education and health.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Nazia was a Senior Technical Advisor at BRAC USA, where she led technical assistance engagements with governments and NGOs to design and implement the Graduation approach targeting vulnerable populations in Kenya, Guinea, Egypt, Yemen, and Pakistan. Nazia has a Master’s in Development Economics from George Washington University.
