Nebojsa Jojic is a Senior Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research. His research spans several areas - signal processing, computer vision, machine learning, natural and programming language processing, computational biology, and immunology/virology - and has been published and cited in leading publication venues of these fields, including Science and PNAS. He has been awarded two awards for his research - one by his Alma Mater, University of Illinois for an outstanding thesis (2001), and another by the top computer vision conference, CVPR (2005). Nebojsa holds dozens of US and international patents. He is currently working on emergent AI and hybrid AI in social media, as well as on Microsoft’s AI for Earth initiative.
