Neesha Harnam is a Young Professional in the Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice at the World Bank. At present, she primarily works on analytical and operational projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, and is a member of the SaluDerecho team. Previously, she worked on the multisectoral determinants of health, and contributed to several reports. She holds a Master's in Public Health from Yale University, and did her PhD studies at the University of Cambridge where she studied the relationship between financial crises, mortality, and public health systems, and conducted fieldwork in Malaysia and Indonesia. Prior to joining the Bank, she was involved in various areas of research (including cancer and health outcomes), and held an internship with the WHO European Office for Investment for Health and Development.
