Economist in the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice

Nga Thi Viet Nguyen is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice, where her work involves poverty analysis, policy evaluation, and the study of labor markets and human development. Her main research interest is empirical microeconomics with a focus on poverty and social impact, and labor markets. She has published a number of scholarly articles and working papers on poverty implication and welfare outcomes. She was the lead author of country and regional reports such as Refugees in Chad: The Road Forward and Geography of Welfare in West Africa. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
