Ngao Mubanga is an Economist with experience working on development issues. Her works have mainly focused on environment and natural resource management, economic management, including policy and research in developing countries. She is currently working with the Environment, Natural Resources & Blue Economy Global Practice and the Agriculture and Food Global Practice of the World Bank. She has contributed to the analysis of agriculture value chains and aggregation of small producers to increase their access to market linkages and growth in agribusiness. Besides her work in the World Bank, she conducts research with local research institutions like the Southern African Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (SAIPAR).
Ngao is enthusiastic about effectively disseminating critical evidence-based information and knowledge through presentations, dialogue and debates. Ngao holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Zambia.
