Nicholas Jones is a Data Scientist at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) based at the Tokyo Disaster Risk Management Hub. He joined the World Bank in 2011 and has contributed to technical assistance and investment lending projects in the Caribbean, Pacific and Africa regions. During a sabbatical year in New York, he was a fellow at New York University and worked at the NYC Mayor's Office of Data Analytics as well as furthering his interests as a jazz pianist. Before the World Bank, he was Oxford Analytica's lead analyst for South and Southeast Asia.
