Nicolás Abbate is a consultant with the World Bank's Human Capital Project, specializing in the intersection of economic development, climate change, and social policy. Since joining the World Bank, he has played a key role in data-intensive projects that integrate human capital outcomes with climate shocks, including the development of global datasets and policy tools to enhance social assistance targeting. Nicolás holds a master’s degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina, where he graduated among the top of his class. His research interests focus on applying advanced quantitative methods and innovative data sources, such as satellite imagery, to tackle critical policy challenges in poverty and inequality.
