Nidda Yusuf is the Lead for Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage at Save the Children. At Save the Children she works to influence sustainable and equitable health financing policies for universal health coverage to be fulfilled. She also chairs the Global Financing Facility's Civil Society Health Financing Working Group, encouraging technical dialogue and collaboration across countries to build civil society's health financing literacy. Prior to this, she worked as a Health Specialist for the management consultancy, Mott MacDonald, engaged in providing technical assistance, programme delivery and independent evaluations. Whilst there, she also served as the Lead Health Economist for the global review of comprehensive multi-year financing plans for immunisation. She has experience in health system strengthening across Southern Asia and Southern Africa. She is a Health Economist by training, holding an MSc in Health Economics and Decision Modelling from the University of Sheffield. Earlier in her career, she worked at the European Court of Auditors and for the UK Civil Service.
