Strategy Officer

Niharika Sachdeva serves as Strategy Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Corporate Strategy team where she is a principal contributor to IFC’s flagship strategy document (Strategy and Business Outlook), among other corporate initiatives. Prior to this role, Niharika was with IFC’s Economic Policy Research (erstwhile Country Economics and Engagement) department, where she has worked on building country-level investment strategies and leading diagnostic products to guide World Bank Group business development efforts in the Europe and Central Asia region. Across her roles, Niharika has led analytical work on themes of Digital and other Disruptive Technologies, and Climate to better identify private sector opportunities and trends in the space. Prior to joining the Bank Group, Niharika was an Associate Consultant with Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Delhi, India where she worked on strategy formulation as well as implementation assignments across four industry verticals (TMT, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, and Social Impact) and as many markets (India, Bangladesh, France, and the United States). Niharika was also an Investment Banking intern at Citigroup in Mumbai, India where she worked on live sell-side deals for Financial Institutions and Public Sector clients.

Niharika has over five years of experience in analytics-based problem solving, program management, and cross-functional stakeholder management. She holds an MSc degree in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford, UK and a BA (Honors) degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, India.
