Nick Kojucharov is an Economist in the World Bank Group’s Finance, Competitiveness, and Innovation Global Practice. He currently leads analytical and lending programs on tourism development globally, including in Myanmar, Vietnam, Peru and the Pacific Islands. He is the author of several flagship publications on tourism growth challenges in East Asia, including “Tourism in Developing East Asia: Managing Growth and Maximizing Future Benefits” and “Stepping Back from the Tipping Point: Vietnam’s Tourism Trends, Challenges, and Policy Priorities.” Nick also works on WBG projects and analytical initiatives related to innovation and entrepreneurship, SME competitiveness, and special economic zones. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
