Nina Paustian works as Private Sector Development Specialist in the World Bank Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is leading the stakeholder engagement agenda and data collection for the Enabling the Business of Agriculture Project in Southeast Asia. She also provides support to several transport and connectivity projects in the region. Her current research focuses on agribusiness trade and cross-border transport. Before moving to Malaysia Nina was based in Washington DC where she worked on assessing regulatory frameworks and other business climate relevant aspects within the Global Indicators Group. Prior to joining the World Bank, Nina worked in different roles for the German Development Cooperation based in Burkina Faso, Tanzania and Germany with a focus on regional integration, taxation and trade. She has also worked with the International Trade Center in Geneva on trade competitiveness and non-tariff measures.
