Financial Sector Specialist

Nomsa Kachingwe is a Financial Sector Specialist in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice at the World Bank. She works on international remittances, financial inclusion and SME finance in the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank, Nomsa was a Senior Research Analyst at the Centre for Financial Regulation and Inclusion in South Africa, where she provided research and advisory services to financial sector regulators on financial inclusion, credit market development, and anti-money laundering and combating terrorist financing (AML/CFT). Nomsa previously worked at the Universal Postal Union in Switzerland, and at the Bank of Zambia.  
 
Nomsa studied a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies, as a Rhodes Scholar, at the University of Oxford; and a Bachelor of Business Science in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town.
