Noosha Tayebi is a Senior Water Resources Management Specialist at the World Bank, specializing in applying technology and innovation to tackle water and climate challenges. She leads projects across Eastern/Southern Africa and Europe/Central Asia, where she integrates water resources management, irrigation modernization, and transboundary cooperation—bridging technical solutions with resilience planning, institutional reform, and country-led strategies. Noosha has played a key role in the development and implementation of water sector strategies that span water resources management, water efficiency, and long-term resilience, often in fragile or climate-vulnerable settings. Her recent work in Türkiye focuses on improving irrigation efficiency and advancing more sustainable water use. In previous roles, she led CIWA's (Cooperation in International Waters in Africa) digital data initiative for transboundary waters and shaping the World Water Data Initiative under the High-Level Panel on Water. Noosha holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Systems Science and Operations Research from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
