Noreyana Fernando is a communications associate and former online producer for the World Bank's Human Development team.
She is a 2016 graduate of the Columbia Journalism School, where she specialized in investigative data reporting. Here, she was named the 2016 recipient of the James Wechsler Award for Local Reporting in New York. Noreyana has also worked for Harvard's online education platform as a digital media manager, and interned at the university's Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society. Previously, Noreyana was a TV and print news reporter in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
