Nwamaka is an economist and private sector development expert, currently working as a consultant with the Sector Economics team of the IFC’s Development Impact Assessment Unit for Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services (MAS). She has spent the last seven years solving problems and analyzing issues in the areas of industrialization, entrepreneurship, innovation, and foreign direct investments. Her work has also focused on increasing access to finance for firms in emerging and developing economies. She previously worked at the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and led monitoring and evaluation at Africa’s largest entrepreneurship program, the $100 million Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme. Nwamaka holds an masters in development studies from the University of Oxford, a masters in development management from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a first-class degree in economics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. She is currently completing a Ph.D. in International Development from the University of Oxford.
