Nyambiri Kimacha serves as a Disaster Risk Management Consultant for the World Bank’s Tanzania office, where she supports the implementation of the Tanzania Urban Resilience Program. She has more than 10 years of experience working in community development, emergency preparedness and response, and urban resilience. She facilitates communities’ and local governments’ engagements in building disaster resilience. Over the years, she has contributed to strengthening emergency preparedness and response capacity in Tanzania at the city, community, and national levels.
