Olivier Lavinal was previously Special Assistant to the Vice President for the MENA region and Program Manager of the Middle East and North Africa Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MENA MDTF) at the World Bank. Olivier comes from the Social, Urban, Rural and Resilience (GSURR) Global Practice family and worked on urban governance and institutional development, including in lagging regions, as well as on gender and youth. Olivier started in the Bank at the Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) where he was Program Manager before joining the Vice-Presidency team. Prior to joining the Bank, Olivier was Chief of Staff of the Mayor of Lyon. Olivier graduated from Sciences Po Paris where he also holds an MA in Comparative Politics and International Relations, and is a Georgetown University alum. Olivier will manage the Global Concessional Financing Facility (GCFF).
