Professor Olu Ajakaiye is currently Executive Chairman, African Centre for Shared Development Capacity Building (ACSDCB), Ibadan – a research and training Centre for Shared Development Policy, Planning, Implementation and Impact/Outcome Assessment in Africa. He is also President, Nigeria Economic Society beginning in September, 2013 and Honourary Special Adviser to the President on the Economy/Member National Economic Management Team. Prior to this, he was Director of Research at the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) Nairobi (2004-2011) and Director-General, Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER), Ibadan (1999-2004).
