Tharcisse Guedegbe is a consultant for the Agriculture and Food Global Practice in West and Central Africa, having joined the World Bank as an Africa Fellow in 2023. His work spans operations, including the Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project and the West Africa Food Systems Resilience Program. In analytics, he contributed to the Seventh Ghana Economic Update and Enhancing the Nigerien agri-food system reports. He is leading the agricultural team’s efforts in the Ghana Public Finance Review and managing the impact evaluation of Ghana's Planting for Food and Jobs 2.0. Tharcisse previously worked at Morocco's Policy Center for the New South (2016-2019). He published extensively in development economics and resilience. A Benin national, he holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and an agronomy engineering degree from Morocco's Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute.
