P. Facundo Cuevas is a Senior Economist at the Poverty and Equity Global Practice. Since 2015, he is based in Turkey, where he leads a cross-sectoral program of lending and analytical and advisory services to support Turkish development goals. He has worked with governments and development partners on poverty, inequality and human development issues in a variety of low, middle, and high-income contexts across East Asia & Pacific, Middle East, Latin America & the Caribbean, and Europe & Central Asia regions. His technical expertise includes: inequality of opportunity, social protection systems, behavioral interventions, measurement of empowerment and psycho-social wellbeing, and impact evaluation. Facundo holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s in Economics from UCLA, and a Bachelor’s (Licenciado) degree from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Argentina.
