Palak Rawal is a Gender and Social Protection Consultant at World Bank. She supports the design, implementation and learning for gender-responsive social protection programs. Specifically, she supports the safety net project in South Sudan by designing its gender-based violence prevention and response strategy. Prior to this, she has worked with the Asian Development Bank on designing economic inclusion programs in South Asia and with the Government of India on strengthening public service delivery. Her core interests lie in supporting sustainable livelihoods and advancing gender equality. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the National University of Singapore.
