Urban Development Specialist

Pallavi Sengupta is an Urban Development Specialist with over 8 years of experience in cities and climate change, housing, urban policy, infrastructure, and resilience. At the World Bank, she has been engaged in the development and operationalization of the Urban and DRM programs in the East Asia and South Asia regions.  She is currently supporting the Global Platform for Sustainable Cities within the Bank’s Global Urban Unit. Prior to joining the World Bank, Pallavi also worked at the UN Office for South-South Cooperation and Management Systems International. She holds a Bachelors in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, a Masters in International Development from American University, Washington, DC, and professional certificates in Municipal Finance from the University of Chicago and Real Estate Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics.
