Paloma works with the Environmental, Natural Resources and Blue Economy LCR team as a Consultant, supporting projects related to mixed land use, forestry, and biodiversity. She has experience in different countries, sectors, and topics, which has given her the opportunity to learn, and advance initiatives that support efforts in Latin America to promote natural resource sustainability across diverse landscapes. Paloma has worked with teams researching, and supporting environmental projects on capacity building, rural development, and global environmental policy and governance.
In previous work as the Landscapes Program Officer for WWF Chile, Paloma coordinated with a platform of several organizations to promote the creation of Chile’s National Landscapes Restoration Plan. Paloma also worked with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to mainstream biodiversity and food security in government programs for smallholder farmers, and indigenous communities. She studied Agronomy in the Universidad Católica de Chile, and holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University.
