Papa Modou Ndiaye is a Senior Transport Specialist at the World Bank Group, since 2018.
With over two decades of experience in transport infrastructure and project management, his role involves overseeing significant transport projects and initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa. His expertise spans project management, financing, policy, and engineering, supported by strong academic qualifications and practical experience in both the private sector and civil service.
Before joining the World Bank, Papa has held several positions in the private sector, in Senegalese government and with international development agencies, including leading the Road Maintenance Fund in Senegal (FERA) for three years and the Millennium Challenge Account Senegal financed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation for eight years.
Papa is a Civil Engineer, graduated from Ecole Polytechnique de Thies (Senegal). He holds a PhD in Business Administration from University Lyon 3 (France), an MBA from University Paris Dauphine (France), a master’s degree in project management from CESAG (Senegal) and a Certificate in Transport Economics from University Lyon 2 (France).
