Parul Agarwala works with the urban team in the Sustainable Development Unit in the South Asia Region at the World Bank. She specializes in spatial planning, economic development, environmental assessments, zoning legislations, and stakeholder engagement. She is interested in economic impact assessments of land use policies for long-term growth of a city, and institutional capacity building to effectively navigate the complexities of social, ecological, and fiscal negotiations with multiple stakeholders. Agarwala has a Master of Public Administration degree with specialization in international economic policy from Columbia University, and a Master of Planning degree with specialization in land use and sustainability from the University of Southern California.
