Patrice Mwitende is a development and public health professional with over 18 years of experience in health and nutrition programs in Rwanda, Niger, and Côte d’Ivoire. He is working as a Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank, based in the Rwanda Country Office, and has been contributing to the design, negotiation, implementation, and performance measurements of a wide range of lending projects and analytics, including those on nutrition, COVID-19, human capital development, health financing, community health, and e-health. His past experience spans government agencies and international non-government organizations. Prior to joining the Bank in 2019, he worked with Save the Children International, the Belgian Development Agency, the Ministry of Health (Rwanda), and the former National AIDS Control Commission (Rwanda). Patrice has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Rwanda.
