Patricia Martinez is a Consultant with the Finance Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice of the World Bank Group. Patricia has over twenty years of experience in leadership roles in the banking sector in Mexico.

During her almost 18 years at Nacional Financiera (NAFIN), one of the leading development banking institutions of the Mexican government, she held various management positions in SME financing, financial intermediaries assessment, microcredit, and guarantee programs highlighting a leadership role in the development and launch of the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) "Cadenas Productivas" program. This program emerged as an innovative and first multi-funder electronic platform program in Mexico focused on providing financing to national SMEs through reverse factoring and other products, as well as training and technical assistance.

She later headed this program, which became a benchmark for the development of SCF models in Mexico and Latin America and has been recognized as a best practice worldwide by other development banks and public institutions to encourage SMEs' growth by providing access to financing.

Patricia currently works as a strategic consultant with IFC, banks, and fintechs to support the development of SCF initiatives around the world.
